Totally different growing process than in the US! Get yourself a taste in their Oyster Bar and buy some merch before you go. I recommend avoiding weekends as the workers said that is their busiest times for putting together orders for distribution. We lucked out with the weather and had a great view of the sea while learning about oyster & mussel farming. Sharon showed us all of the tools and machines they use and walked us through the whole lifecycle of their oysters and mussels, from planting to sanitizing. Afterwards, we had a delicious oyster tasting and shucking lessons. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in learning about oyster farming (or those just interested in having some life-changing shellfish!). Beautiful remote landscape looking north to The Dingle and west to Inch. Super friendly staff who weren’t expecting visitors.
